Federal Taxes -

Federal taxes are a drain on the existence of good old American wage earners. I would feel a whole lot better about paying federal taxes if there were not so many reports of million-dollar toilet seats, all financed by my federal taxes and yours. Federal taxes eat up a whole lot of our income, and a lot of that money is going into areas where I would rather not see my tax dollars used. When you pay federal taxes, you do not get a choice how that money is spent!

Of course, when I think of all the great things about living in America, our federal taxes seem like a small sacrifice to make. We live in the greatest country in the world, federal taxes notwithstanding. There are a lot of people who would gladly pay federal taxes just to live in the United States of America. Instead of complaining about my federal taxes, I should be glad to live in the United States, which is the most prosperous nation in the world.
