Law Schools -

Law schools are three-year institutions that are designed to turn sentient human beings into lawyers. Law schools only accept students who have already earned a four year bachelors degree from an accredited institution. Undergraduate studies that prepare students for law schools include government, English, history, or business. Law schools do not require students to know Latin, but it would certainly help to have Latin under your belt if you are intent on getting a legal degree.

Some of the more prestigious law schools in the country are at the Ivy League schools, especially Harvard, Princeton, or Yale. Other exemplary law schools could include Georgetown or Stanford. When applying to law schools, you may want to include a couple of less prestigious law schools as backup in case you do not get accepted by your first choice of school, because there are a lot of baby sharks hoping to swim in the big ocean of lawyers. If you weren’t at the top of your class in college, or if you are not a member of a minority group, you may find yourself looking at law schools other than the ones that were first on your list.
