OSHA stands for Occupational Safety & Health Administration. OHSA is administered by federal government to provide safe and healthful working conditions for working men and women. OHSA mission is to save lives, prevent injuries and protect the health of America's workers. In order to accomplish this objective, the federal and state government is working in partnership with 6.5 Million employers and 100 million workers who are covered by OSHA. The available manpower resources from OSHA, approximately 2100 inspectors in over 200 offices throughout the country enforces those standards and reaches out to employers to provide technical assistance and consultation programs.
