Legal forms are a pain in the neck. Not only are legal forms obnoxious to fill out, read, or sign, but they are nearly impossible to interpret. Lawyers know that most people cannot understand the content of legal forms, and they count on that. Lawyers do the best they can to make their legal forms so complex that you will not bother reading them, so that their clients will make money at your expense. If you do not like this nasty aspect of legal forms, there is nothing you can do about it except to hire your own lawyer to look out for your own interests. If you do not have the money to hire a lawyer to help you decipher legal forms that are presented to you by another attorney, you are just going to have to live with what you sign. Sadly, even if you do not understand the words on legal forms, you are bound by those words once your signature is on them. That is one of the sad facts of life.
